I draw from my talk with you about your company, the logo questionnaire, research on your competition and target market and start sketching. Sketching is the quickest way to get ideas from your brain onto something useful like paper. It gives me general ideas on typefaces and logo style. The sketches are scanned in and refined with the latest design software. I present three to five logo concepts.
I put a lot of thought in to the logo designs and usually come up with more than 5 concepts but only the best logo concepts survive my critical analysis.
I present the logo concepts to you and explain my rational. Many times people pick one they love off of these first concepts. If not, these concepts are a jumping off point. Some clients pick and choose elements from each concept and combine them or give me their own ideas. It is all part of the creative process and I encourage participation.
